Who Qualifies for a Free Insulation Grant in the UK?
To qualify for free insulation under UK government schemes, you must meet the eligibility criteria set out under either the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) or the ECO4 Scheme, depending on your property type, EPC rating, and financial circumstances.
- You own the property you live in.
- Your home has a low EPC rating of D, E, F, or G.
- Your property is in Council Tax Band A to D (A to E in Wales or Scotland).
- You must have landlord's permission
- You must be receiving qualifying benefits.
- The rental property must be in Council Tax Band A to D (or A to E in Scotland) and have an EPC of D to G.
