What is Phoenix Finance?
How Phoenix Finance works
Phoenix Financial Consultants is a credit broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It doesn’t lend money itself. It looks across a panel of lenders to find a home improvement loan for your installation, which you then repay in fixed monthly amounts.
Phoenix
Takes your online application and introduces you to a lender from its panel. Phoenix is a credit broker, not a lender.
The lender
Checks your application and credit file, makes the decision, and sends you a loan agreement to sign.
H&R Energy Solutions
Surveys your home, applies any grants you qualify for, sends your quote with a finance link, and installs your system.
What you can finance
Finance for heat pumps, solar and insulation
A Phoenix loan can cover the energy upgrades we install, on their own or together. You can borrow the full amount, or pay a deposit to borrow less.
Air source heat pumps
Spread the cost of the balance after your Home Energy Scotland or Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
Solar panels
Start cutting your electricity bills now and pay for your panels monthly.
Home batteries
Add battery storage with new panels, or to the solar you already have.
Insulation and more
Insulation and other energy-saving work that we quote and install for you.
Home Energy Scotland grant and loan first
Up to £7,500 grant towards a heat pump, plus an optional interest-free loan. We check this funding first, so Phoenix finance only covers what is left, if anything.
Home Energy Scotland grantBoiler Upgrade Scheme grant first
£7,500 off an air source heat pump, or £9,000 when replacing oil or LPG until 31 March 2027. The grant comes off your quote, then you can finance the balance.

Pay upfront or spread the cost
Every quote shows the full price first, with any grant taken off. You then choose whether to pay upfront or apply for finance through Phoenix.
Grant off first, then finance the balance
Many homes qualify for a heat pump grant. We apply it to your quote before you decide how to pay what is left.
